Online Shopping for Xmas

admin@Shopping tipsNo Comments

We Indians love celebrations, the majority of us don’t care whether it is a Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Christian, Muslim, or a Buddhist festival, we enjoy festivities! In this regard, we are truly omnists.

Friends, Christmas is around the corner, let’s get set to celebrate the festival, usher in some cheer, have fun, enjoy life. Take out some time to order a few things online, quite a few sales are on, anyway we love to shop and bargains are always welcomed.

5 essential Xmas DÉCOR items:

1)Poinsettia plants instantly perk up the place, this is one of the best things that money can buy. The plant with bright red leaves amongst the dark green foliage is an instant mood enhancer. They need minimal care and easily last till March. Just 4-5 pots with these lovely plants will get you in a cheery mood.

You may check out ferns n petals.com, shopclues.comugaoo.com to order fresh, live Poinsettias.

2)The evergreen tree Araucaria, is a must-have for Christmas decorations, the real plant is available online only on the ferns n petals site, you may go to a plant nursery in your area and if you are lucky you may find one, smaller ones are not expensive but a 4-5 ft. tall plant will cost a bomb. However, dearies, it will easily last for five years or so even in a 24-inch pot, if looked after well.

One may go for an artificial one, that will last you for years provided you store it away properly after Xmas.

3)Red Stockings and gifts, must add them to your shopping list, especially if you have small children at home..

Reminiscing about the good old days:

I still remember those days when we were living in the NAVY NAGAR, Bombay, our club used to organize a nice rotund Santa in a decorated buggy full of bright gift packages. We parents would leave presents for our children well in advance, the Santa would go around the colony distributing gifts. What fun it used to be!

Many kids knew that it’s their parents who are buying gifts for them, but the whole experience, kids running behind the buggy, collecting their cherished presents, glow on their faces and the young ones believing that Santa knows what they desire, what a sight it was? well, those were the days my friends.

Now I love to be a Santa for some kids since mine are grown adults now, I make some goody bags with woolen socks, Biscuit packs, and a red cap to distribute to the children I find on the red-light crossings, makes me feel so good!

4)Candles, especially, the red ones add cheer and warmth to the house, go for the eco-friendly Soy wax candles.

LED candle lights are another great buy, available on Amazon.in, these look awesome, are fuss-free just flip the switch and you are good to go.

5)Starlight strings/ curtains with golden flashing LEDs add glitz and glow, I love hanging them near my entrance. A wide variety is available on www. amazon.inwww.pepperfry.comflipcart.com too has some interesting lights.

Friends, let’s get set for some fun,

create the atmosphere,

welcome happiness and cheer,

Renuka.
