5 WAYS A MAN BEHAVES if HE LOVES YOU!

Who doesn’t want to be loved, cherished, and cared for? Whatever the age, whatever the stage of life.

We all have our expectations, desires, and dreams; it is a basic need of all humans, though it does keep changing with time.

Friends, the choice is ours, we can keep nurturing disappointments and be unhappy or we can appreciate small gestures of love and kindness and be happy!

GIRLS, I HAVE COMPILED THIS LIST after taking feedback from my close friends and my own personal intimate interactions/ experiences shared by our family members. After all, we see, understand, and experience the true/ real picture of relationships only in our own close family circles, for public consumption each family has a different face.

#1 Communication, is the most important aspect of a healthy, loving relationship.

Taking a leaf from my own life’s book:

Friends, my husband is not a great talker but he makes up by being an attentive listener. In our younger days, I would get upset on this account, my constant complaint used to be, “It’s me who does all the talking and addresses a problem/issue, you only respond in monosyllables”. However, by now I have realized that while I do the talking, he is the doer, he works towards sorting out issues in a positive and cool manner. It’s only now that I am appreciating this aspect of his personality.

WELL, ONE LEARNS WITH AGE AND EXPERIENCE.

#2 He wants to make me happysmall things that he does for me certainly made me realize that in his own subtle way he is still wooing me…. at age 60. He recently learned to prepare great coffee, it does pep up the mood, I really look forward to our breakfast time together with a cup of awesome coffee.

Evening we spend sprawling on our recliners, with a glass of wine or a cocktail he rustles up and a nice movie on Netflix, WHAT BLISS!

#3 He wants to spend time with me, it gives me a sense of belonging and companionship. He is an avid golfer, many a time I did feel that I too am a “golf widow”, till I started enjoying my own “me” time. Now I appreciate the quiet comradery, the bonding we share, just being there for each other is such a boon, my friends, especially in these stressful COVID times.

#4 If there is love, intimacy has to be there, we humans have to touch and feel each other physically in order to feel loved. Our Indian society frowns upon physical intimacy amongst senior adults. Agreed, passion cannot be the same but the WARMTH, CLOSENESS & BONDING DOES INCREASE WITH AGE, don’t you think so?

# 5 He is more caring, at 60+, he makes up for the lack of fiery youthful passion by being more caring, by expressing his love and concern in so many other small ways, the way we reminisce about the days gone by, the way he gently rubs his wife’s back when she complains of a backache, and the way he looks at her lovingly, when she dons her finery to celebrate his birthday.

DEARIES, ALL THIS SHOWS THAT LOVE IS THERE STILL!

What is your take on the topic?

Friends, looking forward to your comments,

Renuka.
